Breaking the Stigma: Empowering Girls and Women through Menstrual Hygiene

Breaking the Stigma: Empowering Girls and Women through Menstrual Hygiene

There is a lot of stigma surrounding menstruation in communities. Girls and women are often shunned during their periods, this is due to the lack of awareness about menstrual hygiene, limited resources and lack of access to sanitary pads

Meanwhile, we are currently providing trainings on how to make reusable sanitary pads, with the aim to improve the overall health and confidence of girls and women in rural communities. we are currently working with 60 girls and 30 women in Dowa district.

Menstrual hygiene is a fundamental right that should be accessible by all, enabling girls and women to live healthy and dignified lives without limitations imposed by society. As an organization we would like to see a healthier and empowered generation of girls and women. Help us Join the fight.
